‘I’m really going to cry’: Jutta Leerdam is afraid that Jake Paul will be knocked out by Mike Tyson

Jutta Leerdam will travel to the United States with some concerns, for the fight between her boyfriend Jake Paul and the legendary Mike Tyson. In the summer, they watched footage of the then 57-year-old fighter and were shocked. He shows in training that he is still incredibly strong.

“Babe, what if he knocks you out?”, Leerdam asked anxiously during a podcast by Paul. “Just look away”, Paul tried to laugh it off. “That’s really not going to be good”, Leerdam is assured of Tyson’s strength. “I just want to see the scenario.” Paul and his friends almost laugh at the worried Leerdam because of her concerns. “Not going to happen”, Paul is resolute.

Together with two friends and co-hosts, they watched and analyzed Tyson during Paul’s podcast last summer. That was before the initial date of the fight, on July 20. The now 58-year-old Tyson had to cancel due to health problems.

“Are you going to cry?”

But Paul doesn’t just want to laugh off Leerdam’s worries. “Do you think you’ll cry then?”, he asks the Dutch top skater. “Oh yes, absolutely. But that’s because I feel bad and hope you’re okay,” Leerdam smiles sweetly at her boyfriend. “I don’t think it’s okay if he gets knocked out. That’s my future husband. Maybe we shouldn’t talk about it.”

“He’s scary”

Although Leerdam is very afraid that Tyson will knock Paul out, she does think that her boyfriend will win. “I think you will win, but he is the boxer who is the scariest you have ever fought. He is scary and super strong. He is older, but his body remembers all that strength. He has trained at the top level for so long and he will not lose that easily.”
